I talked about common mode chokes in one of the past posts. I acquired parts and built the box and it is now powering the equipments in the shack. Parts were bought from Element14. They unfortunately shipped a 10A version of the mains filter. But that is okay. 220x10 = 2.2kW and I am not going to power 2.2kW worth of equipment on the powerstrip that gets a filtered mains input. I have a low power PC, the rig, a power amplifier and network switch.

I see some reduction in noise in the 20m band. Not so much on 40m.

But pleased with the build. It could have been a better build. The mains filter needs to be screwed into the box. I also should have cut slightly longer wire as the toroids could have taken one more turn and the more the better.
